Stevia : 300 times sweeter than table sugar , check labels make sure its 100% whole leaf stevia. May have an after taste and some companies sell a highly processed form- READ LABELS
Xylitol : About the same sweetness of table sugar , buy from a non GMO plant source, low calorie/not a significant impact on blood sugar, may have minor digestive issues
Erythritol : 70 % sweet as sugar , buy only 100% Erythritol , nearly non caloric, wont spike blood sugar, minor digestive issues possible
Coconut Palm Sugar : same as table sugar , check labels , low glycemic index , will contain a small amount of fructose which should be limited.
Agave : 1.5 times sweeter than table sugar, buy organic , lower glycemic index than regular table sugar, high percentage of fructose which is not healthy for your body.
Honey : Slightly sweeter than table sugar, Buy raw ,local and organic, can help boost immune system and deflect seasonal allergies.
Lucuma Powder : sweet maple flavor , buy 100% lucuma powder, good source of fiber and nutrients, can boost immune system, does not impact blood sugar, does not dissolve in beverages
Maple Syrup : 3 times sweeter than table sugar, buy organic or pure, low fructose content than table sugar, contains some trace minerals, don’t overdo it still sugar.
Monk Fruit (lo han gou) 200-300 times sweeter than table sugar ,buy pure monk fruit or pure lo han gou , non-coloric on blood sugar, may have anti -inflammatory benefits, beware of certain processed brands.
